From the Garden Gear range of flower seeds, the Field Poppy, or Papaver rhoeas, is native British wildflower which is also known as the corn or red poppy.
Sow early spring to early summer or autumn where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Scatter the seed and rake in lightly. When large enough to handle space seedlings 15-30cm apart. They prefer a sunny open site but will grow in most soils. Poppy plants will flower from June through to august and will grow to a height between 20-60cm.
