From the Garden Gear range of flower seeds, this variety was the very first named sweet pea cultivar, dating back to 1737, the result of a mutation that arose spontaneously from the original purple Sicilian species. Sweet Pea Painted Lady has a beautiful rose standard petal with pastel pink or cream wing petal and is strongly scented.
