From the Garden Gear range of heritage fruit seeds. The Cranberry Vaccinium macrocarpon, produces fruit that is rich in vitamin C and can be eaten raw, cooked or dried for later use.
Plants require well drained acid soil in a sunny or semi shaded position. Use ericaceous compost if garden soil is not suitable. Use rainwater to water as tap water can reduce the lime in soil. Cover plants with netting whilst in fruit to protect from birds. Requires little pruning except to remove damaged shoots.
Tip: If grown in pots, try to water with rain water rather than tap.
