From the Garden Gear range of heritage fruit seeds. The Rhubarb, Mr Myatt's Victoria, first appeared in England in 1837. One of the easiest rhubarbs to raise from seed and can usually be harvested one year after sowing. Produces sweet juicy medium sized stalks and greenish red leaves.
Start the seeds in April. Soak for several hours and plant 2 seeds per pot. Keep warm until germinated plant out after all danger of frosts have passed approximately 3-4" apart in full sun and fertile soil. Keep the soil moist at all times. When flowers appear remove so all energy goes to the stalks. Rhubarb leaves are poisonous.
