From the Garden Gear range of herb seeds, Lemon Balm is a bushy herb that resembles mint in appearance but has an invigorating lemon scent when you crush the leaves.
The leaves can be used in salads or when cooking to add a lemon flavour, and also to make a 'pick-me-up' herbal tea. The beautiful flowers on this herb will attract bees and butterflies to the garden.
Sow the seeds indoors on the surface of damp, firmed compost and cover lightly with more compost. Transplant seedling to pots once established and plant out once risk of frost has passed. Alternatively, direct sow outdoors onto prepared ground.
